Found this guy by accident (I always do)

The style of wonderful illustrator Gris (which means pig in Swedish) Grimly is just what I like. And since I’m in desperate need of clothes a few t-shirts from his store would be nice.

Surströmming

Sometimes I think surströmming was made as a joke for tourist. Apparently my grandfather used to eat it but he’s from Norrland so it doesn’t count.

Does it really smell THAT bad? Yes it does. It’s a horrible smell and I remember when people were trying to be funny and putting this stuff in the ventilation in school, you couldn’t walk. You had to take a deep breath and then run like hell to the next class, the smell was all over the corridors.

Sweden looks nice, doesn't it :p

Having hair issues…

My hair is so worn-out it is in desperate need of a cut but what to do? I have that layered thing ala Jennifer Aniston and with the straightner and not visiting a hairdresser every X month it looks pretty dreadful and perhaps I should chop it all off but… I’m such a scaredy cat I usually go with the same dull cut every time.

I’m not very good with hair, I wash it and I straighten it and that’s it, I love when it’s winter and you can just pull at hat on an cover everything and not be bother with it. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and I’m not a fan, maybe it’s because it’s so damaged it looks so horrible when I don’t straighten it?

I like my hair long but it’s a little dull though, isn’t it? Which is your favorite?

What did I do this weekend?

1. Went to dreaded pre-birthday party clustered with babies and their affectionate mothers and one compulsive liar.
2. Finished my book I was reading, “Let the right one in” and read 200 pages of “Candy Girl” (only 12 pages left).
3. Ate too much Toblerone.
4. Light garden work.
5. Changed my sheets.
6. Did one load of laundry.

Yeah, I think that’s it… How sad is that one a scale 1-10? It’s a ten isn’t it? What did you do this weekend?

It will take me a while before I read another Austen

Perhaps (hopefully) a lot was lost in the translation… I found it long and tedious (at least I think that’s the word I’m looking for). Like a hundred pages in something finally happened and I was pretty annoyed with Margret because she doesn’t seem to serve a purpose in the story.
