Cute dress!

I have no opinion about Amanda Bynes; I barely know who she is but the dress! How cute is that!? I don’t wear stuff like that at all but it’s just so darn cute that I want it!! Photo by Jonathan Skow

The real Catwoman

Saw Catwoman the other day, if you haven’t seen it, don’t! You’re not missing out on anything, I promise. Read somewhere that Tim Burton was thinking about doing a Catwoman movie after Batman with Michelle Pfeiffer; that would have been nice.

How hot is Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman? I give her a 10, easy.

Annoying

“Helpful” people that think they are doing you a favor when they are doing the laundry and then throwing everything into the dryer. So irritated right now, my hoodie is sort of brownish, it used to be black. One arm is fine and the other is too short. The entire hoodie has shrunk except for the pockets…

Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Got one for Christmas and I already have one… So a paperback copy of Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” is available if anyone wants it.

Will be missed

I had hopes for Heath.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role

Nominees
Cate Blanchett for Elizabeth: The Golden Age
Julie Christie for Away from Her
Marion Cotillard for La Môme
Laura Linney for The Savages
Ellen Page for Juno

I love Cate, there’s nothing she can’t do! She’s amazing and she will win Supporting Role so I don’t think she will win here. It’s tricky, like always. I have a weak spot for Marion, I think I’ll end up picking her but it’s a tight group, Laura is also good… maybe I should go with Laura? My heart says Marion and my head says Laura.

It’s on the list

I like what I see, Laura is just great (all based on this trailer) and Philip too (also base on the trailer) and I have to watch this movie when "The Savages" comes to Sweden… February 8 according to IMDb.

Atonement

Seems like the kind of movie you have to have loads of apple pie and tissues when you watch.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role

Nominees
George Clooney for Michael Clayton
Daniel Day-Lewis for There Will Be Blood
Johnny Depp for Sweeney Todd
Tommy Lee Jones for In the Valley of Elah
Viggo Mortensen for Eastern Promises

My heart belongs to Johnny but I think Daniel Day-Lewis will win. Again, haven’t seen any of these movies, it would have been a lot easier if you had but… I was hoping Johnny would win in 2005 when he was in Finding Neverland, feels more like an Oscar movie than Sweeney Todd but Johnny will get an Oscar sooner or later...

“Best Motion Picture of the Year”

Nominees
Atonement
Juno
Michael Clayton
No Country for Old Men
There Will Be Blood

Haven’t seen any of them… but I Think I’ll end up picking “Atonement” which is on my Movies-to-see list (so many movies, so little time) along with Juno but I’m pretty sure I’ll end up with Atonement on my ballot.

The Oscars…

Every year we try to guess who will win, I always vote with my heart and I usually end up losing. I did do well last year however. The hardest thing is that I haven’t seen any of the movies, hate living in Sweden. Not even half of these have premiered here, and they wonder why people download…

Classic!

I love Monty and this is one of my favorites, John Cleese is just so funny. And so is the wolf.

Trick r' Treat

I like the ”style” of this movie, all the lanterns and Anna Paquins little red riding hood costume is so cute. There’s something about little red riding hood that I like, not sure what it is but I just like it. Maybe the movie doesn’t look that good but I’ll see it when it’s out just because I think it looks good.

Edwin Starr - War - 70's original

I don’t know why but this song is just so… I like it

Sounds good

Johnny Depp and Christian Bale working together, let’s hope so. Johnny is all set to play John Dillinger the famous bank robber in Michael Manns upcoming movie “Public Enemies” based on the book by Bryan Burrough. Exciting!! Let’s hope Bale will be in it too to play Melvin Purvis with the FBI.

Ocean's 13

The first one was okay, the second was pretty lame and now this… I hope they don’t make a fourth movie. I love Ellen but in this movie there are so many actors that none of them get any space, Al didn’t get the space he needed either. Boring movie…

Cold!

My fingers are freezing cold, no idea why because it’s not that cold. Waiting for my tea… which will take a long time since I forgot to turn the water on. When I’m cold I always want to read and look for books. I think I want this book, but I haven’t looked in it so I’m not sure, I don’t like to by books without looking in them. The cover can deceive you, but if the inside is like the cover of this book, I’ll love it.

New teacups

I got these for Christmas, love the décor but I wish they were bigger and a little nicer design but, I still think they are just adorable. Taika from Iittala. The blue one might be nicer...

Last seen movie

I am legend” and… I haven’t read the book and according to my friend Hélène they have changed the ending like they usually do in American movies. It was just like any movie, seen it before. I think Will Smith was pretty good and it started out good but… by the end I was like, “whatever…” It’s like so many other movies, boring.

Coraline

Finally read all of it, read half of it in English but I don’t know I stopped but now I’ve finally finished it, this time in Swedish. I think there were actually a few errors in the translation because at some points the grammar was all over the place which was annoying. For a kids book this was scary, I was imagining all kinds of scary after finishing it and I was a little scary to get out of bed and go to the bathroom. Since I was a kid I’ve always imagined something grabbing my ankle the moment I put my foot on the floor as I get out of bed.

Now I'm looking for to the movie, Coraline

Just placed an order…

For five different kinds of poppies, still this weird obsession about them. But I don’t know what I will do with them, and I also know I’ll order more poppies from this other company later. Not good, or maybe it’s great, maybe there will be poppies all over my garden this summer instead of weeds?

Photo by me, from Nyckelvikens garden last summer

Finished?

I while back I found this picture exercise but I never been good at sticking to the rules so I didn’t… but it doesn’t matter as long as it works and it did. I used this picture by Edward Gorey for inspiration and I finished my first short story ever! (unless you count the stuff you were forced to write in school and I don’t) I’m not truly finished though, I need to have it on ice for awhile and go through it and then I will be but still, this is progress for me. It’s been on ice for a month now so I think I’ll look it over soon. I’ve printed it out since I prefer to go through things on paper and doodle on it. So this could be it, I might have finished something.

This is what I want for the slope

But it’s just so much weeds there, it will take me weeks to get rid of them, and then there’s just clay and rocks so I have to do something about that as well. The easy thing would be to plant roses there but I like this combo so much, it looks so nice! But also, I fear that people passing by on the road will pick flowers and simply mess it up, so things with thorns would be a good thing.
The picture is from “Allt om trädgård” by photographer S O Mathews. Sorry, I don’t make it justice, my scanner sucks.

In the picture, Dahlia “Porcelain” and tall verbena (verbena bonariensis). I think I would throw in some kind of grass and some Mexican aster as well.

Spam mail

Some spam mails are sort of funny, I got this one today:
"Have much sex yours and her sex. Woman, enjoy time with them a longer last you. (website here) that these investments You want to learn about and organized decision on the (and impress cocktail party guests) of free play time,"

Someone also sent me this poem, to me and 38 others which made me feel really special:

What i love about you
I love the way you look at me,
Your eyes so bright and blue.
I love the way you kiss me,
Your lips so soft and smooth.
I love the way you make me so happy,
And the ways you show you care.
I love the way you say, I Love You,
And the way youre always there.
I love the way you touch me,
Always sending chills down my spine.
I love that you are with me,And glad that you are mine.

When i Googled it, it looks as if a Crystal Jansen is the author of the poem.

I like it!

I found this cute site called Garden Shed Hall of Fame, I want a shed or similar in my garden as well. A shed, a greenhouse, something. A place to plant seeds, store plants for the winter, have tea, write and just have a cozy moment all by yourself. No phone, no annoying people, warm slippers… And an old heater for warmth, one which you can make tea with/on. I want this!!

Picture from Trotter's

Big Fish

Saw "Big Fish" yesterday. Not my favorite Burton but... favorite scen was Jessica Lang and Albert Finney in the bathtub, "I don't think I'll ever dry out"

Not sure how I ended up here...

But somehow I did end up at this site and it was a good thing because just look at these pictures, BOOKS!! They are so pretty! Which makes me think of my friend Amanda who doesn’t think that paperbacks are “real” books or that you can have them in you bookcase? Why can’t you have paperbacks in your bookcase? She has never given me an actual reason; she just frowns and says something like, “I don’t know, I don’t like them…”Then we have Heidi who thought that paperbacks are a cut version of the real book and that’s why they are cheaper than hardcover’s, how cute is that =P She was also very angry at “Sex and the city” by Candace Bushnell.
“Yuck, I hate that!”
“Why?” I asked, even though she hates most books, I honestly don’t think she owns a book. The only book I do know that she has (maybe not anymore) is my copy of Harry Potter which her guinea pig ate the cover of.
“I hate when they make books of movies and series.”
“What if I told you they made the series based on the book?”
“I hate it anyway.” She said after a few moments of silence. Anyway, back to the topic…. So the pictures are from a book called “Libraries” by Candida Höfer. I post my two favorite pictures

Topshop

These jackets won’t keep you warm during the winter but they are nice. I defiantly need to get my ass into town and do some shopping, or at least just have a look and try things (that I can’t afford) on. Both jackets from Topshop

I try these shoes on every time I see them

I want them to be blacker, I want them to be cheaper, maybe they are on sale somewhere? I have to get some shoes, it’s snowing outside. It's from Merrell

I wish it was red

But it’s cute anyway, but if it was red it would be even cuter and you could pretend to be little red riding hood. It's by Crispin & Basilio and I found it at Aer Luxe
